Cute pics!

Alison picked out this dress and loves it so I of course had to take a picture of her in it. :o) I can't believe how fast she is growing! She is such an amazing girl, so talented and beautiful, somedays I look at her and think, she can't possibly belong to me! I am such a lucky mom to have the great kids I got, and she is such a special person, I can't wait to see the fun and wonderful things she does with her life! I am so proud to be her mom and her friend!

CarlAnn was enjoying a popsicle and had fun sharing with Nathan, too cute! (not sure why the pics are sideways, I tried to fix it, I will try again later but until then, you'll have to tilt your head to the left :o) Sorry!)

CarliAnn gets her tonsils out.

The day finally came for CarliAnn to get her tonsils and adenoids out, she is our 3rd child to have to have this done, Tyler at 3.5 half (same age about as her) and Alison at 8. Both Tyler and Carli have had sleep issues, Alison had repeated monthly Strep.

I am just amazed at how well she did, I have been bracing myself for months for the crying and pain and she didn't even cry after the surgery!! I remember poor little Tyler after they let me see him crying and saying "take them out, they hurt!" and me telling him they were already out, poor little guy. But none of that for Carli! Here are a few pictures....

Look at that trust in her eyes as the nurse warms her cold hands so the heart monitor will pick up her heart beat correctly.

She was so happy I was worried that it was all a game to her and she was going to be so mad at us afterwards. It seemed like it was a fun game to her to play Dr and such and she was loving all the attention. Cute Hospital jammies!
Here she is ready to walk of with the Anesthesiologist to the operating room, the place we cannot go. A nurse in post-op commented "oh she was the little girl I saw holding her doll and skipping down the hall to the operating room" Yep, that's our happy girl!

While we waited we had a snack, of chips and a soda, Nathan was playing with the chips and when I wasn't looking he decided to taste one, I caught him sucking on it LOL, He then proceeded to want some soda, luckily he doesn't know how to get the lid off! He kept us pretty entertained while waiting, along with Jarin watching TV on his phone.

Then he fell asleep.

Jarin went back to see Carli first, that was hard for me to let him, I had gone back with the other kids, but I knew she is a daddy's girl and he could calm her crying. Only there wasn't any, she fell back asleep when he got to her, and woke up without a tear!
When they took her to post op 2 and I could go back this is how I first saw her, just staring at the TV.
Then a smile when I called her name, I was shocked she was doing so well and sat down to relax, the stress was going away!
The hardest part was taking the IV out so she could get dressed to go home, that didn't last long though.
Just 2 hours after Surgery we were on our way home.
Then she fell asleep with her mouth wide open, when we were almost home she woke up (I was hoping we would make it home) and the pain of the dry sores hurt and she finally cried.

But after some cuddles and more pain meds she was fine and fell asleep for a couple hours, so cute!

The Soap Bottle

I had a conversation with Trevin after I broke my cute soap bottle my friend made me a couple Christmas' ago...
Him: Mom, get my letter back from Santa
Me: Why Him: because I want to ask for a new bottle for you instead
Me: You don't have to do that, I'll find another
Him: But I want to
Me: That's really sweet but it really is ok
Him: Of course Mom it's Christmas, what did you expect, you're supposed to do nice things for eachother!

So sweet, I love this kid!!

Thanksgiving

So Thanksgiving morning Iwoke up to these sleeping cuties in my bed, how could I not be thankful!

After getting ready we went to my parents house, CarliAnn carried in the big spoon for the yummy potatoes I brought and eveyone got a good laugh out of it, they said she was ready to eat with that huge spoon! LOL!

Bryen of course stole the baby, and they matched from their orange shirts down to their bald heads LOL!

Nathan and I had matching orange too. :o)

Nathan had fun trying new foods! Here grandma is giving him a little whip cream, he loved it!! (Oh and he had to change clothes)

Karl laid on the floor to play with Nathan, they are cute together!

We headed over to Jairn's parents house to say Hi, they had fun playing with the kids too.

Silly faces by grandpa just for Carli who was taking the pictures.

Ali's party

For Alison's birthday she wanted to take a few friends to get manicures! They chose their colors and then each had a couple flowers put on too!

They we went out for ice cream, Alison wanted to show her friends this really cool ice cream machine they have at an Artic Circle nearby that put a line of flavor on the outside edge of the soft serve, these girls had some crazy flavor cominations! Faith mentioned she really liked it and Alison told her "we can tell" since she had all over her face LOL!

They had fun trying to help eachother open her gifts!
And she loves them all!
We all had a fun time, what a great group of friends (and her cousin Katelyn) she has!! After we were all done and getting ready to leave the snow storm began and we were glad to quickly be headed home!

Happy Birthday Alison

I can't believe Alison is 10 years old, she hit Double Digits!!!! Yikes! She is such an amazing girl and growing so fast, she is going to have a party in a week with her friends, well not really a party but getting their nails done and going for ice cream. But tonight it was just us as a family, we had her dinner choice of Dinty Moore beef stew, and brownies. Then opened a few gifts, her favorite color right now is Orange and although you can't see it in the picture the new bedspread has orange in it, it is as colorful as her personality! She also asked for a Husky Puppy webkinz and Jarin was able to find one, she was so excited and called her new puppy Iceabell.
Nathan is also 5 months today, why do they have to grow so fast? Isn't he a cutie!! Alison loved that his 5 month landed on her birthday!

Halloween 2009

Halloween is always such fun! This year I got to put on the class parties for both Tyler and Alison, I got to share with them an old favorite scary story called "the Golden Arm" they loved it! It was an old story my Elementary librarian would tell every year and we never tired of it! Then on Halloween we had goshtly pumpkin pancakes with Chocolate Chip eyes! We went to the ward trunk or treat, then after our friend giving us a jumpstart for a dead battery we went to my parents neighborhood to trick or treat with our friends Johnny and Kimmie. The kids were all so fun!!

Jarin was a tourist (I loved Tyler jumping out at everyone in the Van, too silly)

I was a Banana, and Nathan my cute little monkey!

Alison was her webkinz Panda (Andy the Panda)

Tyler was his Star Wars Wii character, Joshua Wood, he didn't care at all that nobody would know who he was

Trevin as Buzz Lughtyear

CarliAnn as the cutest Minnie Mouse ever

And a pictures of my little monkey, I love that little tail!
