We blessed little Nathan today, it was a nice hot day with tons of family and friends who came out to support us! We are so very blessed!
The Blessing itself was beautiful, Nathan didn't cry which is always a worry, we remember CarliAnn's blessing and how when she started to fuss she was blessed "to be happy" and she was and is still! After Church we came back to our house for lunch, about 80 made it to church but only around 70 came back to the house, it was so nice to talk with everyone and catch up too.
We also decided while the family was together we would celebrate CarliAnn's birthday, it was so hot out the cake started melting! Carli loved her cake, she was so excited to blow out the candles!
Then the lighter wouldn't work so while Dad went to find some matches she decided to take a little taste!
Then finally we got the candles lit and sang our birthday song and right at the end the wind blew out the candles!!
She was so shocked! I can't believe she didn't cry, she just sat their frozen with this look on her face, we can't help but laugh when we see the picture, as soon as we told her we could relight them she snapped out of it and was happy again! She loved her presents of art supplies, her own markers made not only her but Alison very happy! She got a baby doll she loves and snap on dolls so Alison can have hers back!
What a great day with a nice nap afterwards!
