2009
We love this time of year! It is a time to focus on our Savior and all he has done for us, as well as reconnect with the friends and family we hold so dear in our hearts. We love to hear about the wonderful blessings you are having in your lives, no matter how big or small they are! And to share with you or joys too!
Alison is attending a different school this year; she is in the Accelerated Learning Program for Students (ALPS) and is thriving! She is in the 4th grade and turned 10 last month. I can’t believe she is in double digits already! She still enjoys being artistic, playing the piano, and learning to cook and babysit. She is so good with kids and I love her help.
Tyler turned 8 this year, and is in the 3rd grade. He was so excited to be baptized last March and we are so proud of his decision. He got a suit for his baptism and wears it proudly almost every week to church. I love how handsome he looks in it! He enjoys soccer, playing the piano and building with Legos almost every Sunday.
Trevin is 5 and likes kindergarten. He is a fun little guy with an amazing sense of humor, I would love to know what goes on in his mind all day! He also enjoys soccer, and loves being outside no matter what the weather is. If Jarin is out shoveling snow, he wants to be outside shoveling too.
CarliAnn turned 3 this year and started preschool. She loves practicing her letters and has become very articulate when she speaks. She enjoys playing with her brothers and sister. She is a sweet little girl who has so much love for everyone!
Nathan Spencer is our newest addition! He was born June 6, 2009. About 2 weeks after he was born I asked the kids if they could remember what life was like without him and they couldn’t! He fits in so well and is a great baby. He isn’t as chubby as the others were, but he is very long. He started wearing 12 month clothes at 5 months old, and now, at 6 months, weighs 19lbs 10oz!
Jarin and Bethany have been busy supporting the kids in their activities, fulfilling our Church callings and trying to find time to relax with our family and friends. Jarin is still working at Midvale City and loves it there. Music is still a big part of his life with his callings as ward organist and Stake Music Chairman. He also is a volunteer pianist for Alison’s school choir. Bethany has been keeping busy being a “taxi driver” to the kids, babysitting when needed, volunteering with the Epilepsy Assoc, Digiscrapping, and performing her Church calling in Primary. Life is always busy but we love it!
We pray this letter finds you safe and happy, and that the Christmas season will remind us all to reflect upon the sweet baby Jesus and the life that he led for us to follow. We hope to hear from all of you and what is going on in your homes and lives. We are so grateful for your love and support. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives!
Love, The Blackhams
