So much has been going on I haven't had time to blog, even though I was even stuck home all last week with a broken car! Got a hole in a hose to the heater core and lost alot of coolant! What we thought would be an easy job, take off the hose put a new one on turned out to be a long frustrating job! Poor Jarin was up til 3:00 last Monday just trying to get the hose off! He cut it off so he could shop for the new hose but even the next 2 nights had trouble getting it off. Finally at midnight on Wed he got the last little piece of hose off. He then tried to put the new hose he found on and what deflated to find that it was the only hose ( he had to take off a few others to get to it) that was one size on one end and a bit bigger on the other end!!! The dealer had wanted $221.00 for a hose kit, it had 3 hoses in it but we only needed one 6 inch hose!! So he had tried to find one and now it wouldn't work. So he came in and sat on the couch and pondered what to do, he knew I had a Dr. appt for Alison the next day and was trying really hard to get it fixed for me, what a sweet guy!!
After sitting for a while I suggested we go to bed since it was now 1:00am. and he sternly said to me "it's getting fixed tonight!"
We both knew it wasn't since no stores were open but he was frustrated and really worked hard all week, even giving up meetings like the amateur radio club and working late on some projects that really need his attention at his job. When I told my mom about this she told me that she had heard my dad say things like this on many occasions though the years of being a mechanic.
The next day he found a part that worked and fixed it for only $9.00, much better than $221.00!! And I borrowed my dad's truck early in the morning, Thanks dad for driving up here before work! I made it to Alison's appt and now she is scheduled to get her tonsils out soon!
I also borrowed my friend Krista's Van on Wed when I had her son so I could go and visit my 3 cute nephews as they came together for the first time. Thanks Krista!
The pictures I got of them are priceless! I need to do another page though with the four generations.
