As I mentioned in the last post our bed was in desperate need of being replaced! A tube broke again (it is a softside bed with tubes inside a foam casing and a pillow top), the pillow top is not so "pillow" anymore and getting the tubes is a pain! After sleeping on the bed minus a tube for a week, I have been so uncomfortable!! Some how all the tubes got pushed to Jarin's side so instead of sharing the lack of a tube, I seem to have to suffer alone. Neither of us had the time or energy to tear it all apart to move them again. It's probably good we didn't since we did find a new bed, cost a bit more than we wanted but hey the stimulus check helped with that! When cleaning up the room and getting the bed ready to take apart and make room for the new one, I opened up the bed to take a picture so my kids may know what a softside bed was, most salespeople didn't. Upon opening it seemed a bit wet, I figured we just hadn't dried it out well enough like we usually did, we just dried it out with towels and slapped it back together. In the past we would clean up as good as we could then open it all up more and let it air dry. But still it was more wet than it should be, when Jarin got home with the new bed I showed it to him and he agreed and wondered if another tube had broken, then he picked up the first one and said "I think it's this one" as he picked it up it sprayed water in a huge stream across the bed!! It was the farthest tube on my side, so not only was I missing a tube but another one broke! It was so time for a new bed! In 10 years only 2 tubes had broken till now, this time the newset tube broke, Jarin never did like the way they did the new seam, and then one of the old ones broke. Now 2 in one week, making the total 4 in 10 years. Jarin's parents bought us our bed as a wedding present and we have loved it, it was the most comfortable bed for the first 5 years then slowly went down hill after that. I will miss the bed!

Now onto a new bed, a very comfortable Inteligel bed from "Mycomfort" They have an outlet here were they sell the seconds, returns, and demos for cheaper. We got one that had gotten a little scuffed in shipping and they had to clean it so they they couldn't sell it as new, but basically it is! My friend Jen warned us to only get the half box, that is half as high as a regular box, she knew it would fit our bed head and foot board at full size. Well since we decided to go up from a queen to a Cal King our Head and foot board wouldn't fit anyway so we thought why not, the tall bed look nice. And the sales guy said it would be the height of the ones in the store, they weren't bad, he said the half box made the height 22 inches and he full box 27 inches. Our bed now was 22 so a few more inches would be a little tall but not bad right!! When we got the bed together it was 30.5 inches tall!!!!! I feel like I should be setting the table, it is so high. I guess I know how the Princess in the Princess and the pea felt! Trevin told us our old bed was just right, but this one is to big. So we have to exchange the box of the half size which will bring it down 4 inches, more where we thought it would be. The guy apologized and said it is hard to guess the size depending on our frame, I told him we bought their frame (half off only $40) and he was really sorry. It does happen to them though since they are a taller bed, people underestimate them.
You were right Jen!!!
Notice the height compared to the Footboard!
The bed itself and the pillows they gave us free are very comfortable, we are glad we spent the extra money, it is strange to have a larger bed but when Carli joined us this morning it was nice having the extra room for her. This bed has a 20 yr warranty so hopefully it lasts that long!!

Congrats! It looks great! I hope the nights of sleep in it will be worth all the hassle.
