At least once a year we get together with our old friends from Bookcraft. Jarin was working their when we first got married. Those first jobs in Marriage always stand out don't they? The guys and a couple girls were all about the same ages, so we all related well. I even remember once when Jarin had to do the back up tapes, instead of going in a couple times in the middle of the night, a few of us couples got permission to stay and watch late movies in the conference room with our blankets and pillows and snacks! Those were the days!
Some of our group has moved away, missed you guys! And others couldn't make it but 6 couples total made it over to our house for dinner. We have made a new tradition to leave the kids with babysitters and play just the grown ups and then have a summer party outside with the kids too. We have so many kids and such small homes that it just gets loud and crazy! It was nice to sit and eat and talk without the interruptions. We had lots of fun! We have added over 16 kids to our families over the years, not including the families who weren't there, more like 21+!
We had BBQ chicken and tons of sides, and a yummy pumpkin pie dip! Amazingly we all 12 fit around our table! As we started to disperse I insisted on a picture of the group. Of course us girls got a little silly on the last ones.

I am so sad that we missed it! We always have so much fun and it is always so good to see everyone. I am so glad that you sent me an invitation to your blog. I am excited to see what is going on with your family. Your kids are getting so big. I can't believe how time flies.
