For New Years Eve we had two broken cars! Jarin's has been having trouble for about a week, as of today it starts but runs really rough, we thought it was water in the fuel line freezing with the cold, and it could be in part. He changed the fuel pump on Saturday so we know that is good, tomorrow he will change the spark plugs and hope that fixes it, if not it may be a fuel injector which he and my dad changed one of the 4 last year. On my car the battery died, the kids were already belted in to go to Jarin's aunt and uncles' for a party, Tyler truly thought I could go in the house and get new ones out of the kitchen drawer just like we do for his toys!! I had to explain the size of a car battery! We gave it a jump start from Jarin's truck that wouldn't start and we were on our way but it died again when we got there and turned it off. After the party we got another jump to make it home. The battery was 2 years 1month and 2 weeks old, with a 3 year warranty!!! At least the replacement was free but Jarin swears they put the wrong insides into the battery, they were supposed to be in the 2 year warranty one so it would go out right after the warranty was up!
New Years was fun, we ate, and talked and watched "Hairspray", John Travolta as a women just wasn't right, but the rest was okay. We started the movie "Next" but didn't make it to far before it was time to watch the ball drop at time square! Then all we had to do was look out the back windows to see the fireworks all over the city being let off, it was an amazing view as always from their house. Then we went outside and the kids made noise and threw poppers and played with sparklers. Bradley even let off a few fireworks, his were legal though!!
I don't do much for Resolutions but this Year I would like to do better with my scripture study, not get mad at the lids as often (in other words don't sweat the small stuff) and keep my bedroom cleaner, (I do good at helping the kids keep up on theirs but I need to be a better example)
I wish you all health, love and prosperity in the coming year, may 2008 be the best yet!
