Can you tell we are ready to have Jarin done with School!!
Ok on to the cars, Jarin took his truck into the dealer and at first it sounded really bad! $96 for the dianostic, and then another $190 to replace the spark plug wires. All that just to get it to give a good spark so they can check what they think may be a problem in the timing box and diagnose that, if it had to be changed it would be about another $1000. Luckily when they changed the wires (which yes would have been cheaper to do ourselves the part was only $30, but after all it had been through just to get a diagnosis we paid the money) it did the trick, spark plug wires caused all this trouble!!
As for my van, I called a salvage yard and they didn't have my part but gave me the number of a place that did, and for only $45 the the price new in town is $974. I called them and he couldn't find it in his sytem and went to go check and call me back but nver did, it was close to closing time, so hopefully I can find it tomorrow! The worst they said was I could get it for $100-200, so much better than $974.
As for the kids, they are getting so excited to go to Disneyland! It's really cute! Trevin says he is going to hug Mickey, he loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Alison can't wait to see the beach! Tyler is already planning what to pack.
At school the kids are starting to learn the new spring songs in chior and Tyler came home on Tuesday and tells me the choir director is going to be calling me because the new song has abad word in it and he told he cannot say it, the 'S' word. At first I was suprised then I realized he didn't know what the real 'S' is and he meant 'stupid' it is a word not allowed in our house. I laughed, he is so cute! Jarin explained to him that he wasn't using the word to be mean to anyone or calling anyone it he was ok, just like there is a hymn in church we use the word H-e-double hockey sticks. I am proud of him for standing up for himself for what he believes is right.
Tyler also lost a tooth on Monday his second one, the first was back in August. Jarin has pulled them both! He was so Brave, he told Jarin he wanted it out, Jarin asked, are you sure, what if it hurts? he said to do it and if it didn't come out they could try again after school. It came out on the first try! He is a brave kid when he wants to be!

I was talking to dad about this truck of yours and I agree with him that the dealer didn't tell you everything. Did you get to keep the old wires? Have you inspected them. For those to cause the intermittent issues you were having seems so... unbeleivable.
Then again maybe that is why it was so elusive in the first place, but I think in my interactions with dealers I tend to beleive a regular mechanic and my dad over whatever they say. Something is missing here. They didn't even know how to check compression.
Love the count down. Way to go Jarin. Glad to here the car situation is better.
