Old Friends!

Yesterday was a fun day, in the morning we sat in the rain to watch Tyler's Soccer game, (Trevin's was cancelled but Tylers played on!) Tyler scored his first goal of the Season!!! He can't wait to tell Dad, to bad he's hunting and out of cell phone range.

Then we went home and changed into dry clothes and watched LDS General Conference and had some popcorn.
After the first session we met down at Artic Circle for Johnny's Birthday, Monday is his party but this was the official day! the kids had lots of fun playing and of course getting the little free ice cream cones and the traditional Square Pumpkin kids meal with Halloween flashlight!

We then went home to watch the second session of Conference and make carmel brownies because my childhood friend (been friends since 2nd grade) Cathrine and her hubby Ryan were in town for a mission reunion (they served in the same mission) and they were coming by!! They live in CA so we don't see them often. It was a fast visit, only about an hour, they had to run to catch their flight. But it was nice to see them, to bad Jarin missed them. I even made them carmel brownies, although not my best batch for some reason, they were still warm and gooey!
I had Alison take the picture at the top.

Funny thing happened, I ordered Pizza for the kids and I Friday night since Jarin was gone having fun, I thought why not! So it came and when I answered the door the guy was apologizing and said he forgot the root beer, while we love root beer it's not the end of the world, I had some drinks in the food storage so we were fine. He kept apologizing and even said he would be back in 30 min with it, I told him that was not necessary and he said he would take $2 off the bill, well I knew that would be a big hassle as well since they printed the receipt already at the store so I declined and told him it was okay. I paid him with a decent tip and he again apologized and said next time he would bring 2. I was sure he wouldn't remember since I probably wouldn't order again for a couple months, I love Pizza Hut, but it is a splurge! Well the next day, while my friends were here visiting, the door bell rings and it was the same delivery guy, an older Hispanic gentleman, bring me 2 bottles of root beer!!! How sweet! We all had a good laugh and the kids loved the root beer with their dinner.

Today we are finishing up Conference and poor Alison is sick so we skipped on the big conference breakfast, we will have to do it next week.

Every thing sounds like so much fun at your house some times when I hear what your doing I wish my children were all home again. Some times it gets boring when they are all gone but only for a second. I recover very fast!!
