Day 10 - Beach and travel to Las Vegas

We woke up and got everything packed in the car to start on our way to Las Vegas before heading home. I had a couple things to purchase still so after the car was packed I ran over to Disneyland and CA adventures to make my last purchases we had run out of time for yesterday. I just am so excited to play with my new Mr Potato Head Disney parts!!! You pick what you want and as long as it fits in the box provided you just pay the one price, well I found I couldn't fit much, those shoes are so huge!! So I was considering buying 2 boxes worth when the cast member there suggested this huge empty Mr. Potato Head container that easily fits 2 boxes worthand is only a couple more dollars plus then I get the big guy and his face and ears are removable as well and they fit on the regular ones looking very silly!! I just couldn't pass it up and the kids love it too! Now my only problem is I need a bigger container at home to combine all the parts and bodies! These pictures show him and I had to play a little before turning it over to the kids!! LOL!

What is the best thing to each at the beach? "Sand"whiches!!

Next we met up with Ron and MaryAnn at the Beach for lunch, we had planned to go there the week before but the rain stopped us. It was the one thing Alison has always wasnted to see, and beside being so sandy afterwards she wasn't dissapointed! Everyone got wet! We tried not to, we tried to only let our feet get wet, except me, I had a blister from yesterday and didn't want to hurt it, my feet, shoes and all, still got a bit wet when the tide came up higher than expected! Poor Trevin fell down, Dad caught him but he was still a wet, Tyler fell down also but kept on playing! Alison got jer pants wet too but luckily we had a change of clothes and fresh water showers up by the sidewalks to get cleaned up! All the kids got a few seashells, but grandpa collected a bunch and some are really neat!

The sound of the waves and our giggling children who seemed fully surprised each and every time the waves came back was priceless. I am glad we went!

We reached Las Vegas about 10:30 and quickly checked into the "Castle" (the Excalibur) to get some sleep, Jarin was still not feeling well and relaxed most of the drive there.
