The day started with Jarin going downstairs to do one more last batch of laundry with his mom while I got the rest of us ready for the day. We went down to get some breakfast which ended in Tyler getting a full to the brim bowl of dry oatmeal and just a tiny bit of water in the middle that a nice man from Canada helped him to get. (He was the husband of one of the nice women I met the previous morning doing laundry) I fixed it and he did eat some/ Then CarliAnn pulling Tyler not so hot Hot Cocoa down all over herself which required a full change of clothes! Off to a good start right!
On to California Adventures for the day, we didn’t even go into Disneyland. We started buy CarliAnn falling quickly asleep in one of her many strange positions and while she slept I walked around and the rest went on the Hollywood Tower of Terrors ride since grandpa had not yet been on it. He didn’t like it much, something about dark and motion don’t seem to mix well for him. Then we tried the Soarin over California ride while Jarin watched CarliAnn, everyone loved that one. It feels like you are dangling your feet over all the amazing sites of California and they even add the winds and smells like pine when rafting and citrus when going over the orange groves. Then we went walking and watched the Grizzly River run ride as people got soaked, we came back to that one later. As we walked we came upon Goofy in his tourist shirt fooling around, we got his picture with kids but missed getting a pic of him giving MaryAnn a big hug, and he also wildly shook Ron’s hand. We were excited to go see him at dinner that night. Jarin and the kids rode the Ferris Wheel and Silver rockets that Trevin thought looked fun.

Ron and MaryAnn decided to catch a show with Whoopi Goldberg show while Jarin took the kids on the Ferris wheel and then the golden zephyr which was not golden but silver bullet looking ships that spins. Our next stop was the roller coaster, we all wanted to ride!! Trevin however was to short for it, and since he had been able to go on everything else it was a hard thing for him to understand. After much persuasion MaryAnn decided to stay with him so that grandpa wouldn’t have to deal with him and CarliAnn while he threw a fit and the rest of us got in line. The line wasn’t long and soon we where right up there ready to board next, the people before us has just stepped into the car when they announced the ride was being closed due to technical difficulties!! A car was stuck going up the tallest hill!! Those poor people were stuck for about 45 minutes before they could get them down by safely walking them down those steps they have on the side of all the up hill slopes. If Trevin hadn’t thrown a fit, it might have been us!
`Instead we found Trevin, Grandma and Carli riding the merry go round and all the kids and Jarin joined them. Then we found some lunch and went to see “It’s tough to be a bug” with the characters from “A Bug’s Life” this is one that Jarin and I loved last time and couldn’t wait for the kids to see! They loved it!! It is a 4-d show and at they make you honorary bugs, at the end you are asked to let the bugs and bees etc. exit first and then you hear them under you (your sitting on log benches) and feel them moving out under your bottom, so weird and fun! Except when we got stung (really poked hard in the back! Ouch, didn’t remember that part).

Then we went to get wet on the Grizzly rapids ride, Alison definitely got the wettest! Next we met up at the front with my cousin Danny and his daughter my cousin Trisha, we talk on the phone all the time but since she lives in Oregon we never see each other. We only saw each other for about an hour and didn’t think to take a picture together but it was nice to see her. I didn’t get to see all the family, her brothers and their families, but we did get to take them on the Hollywood Towers ride, they didn’t like it much. Trish and her kids don’t do elevators; she said they are country folk, not much for all the City stuff! I love her, she is down to earth and honest and a true friend. Our Families went to Disneyland together when we were kids and I still remember going on the Haunted Mansion ride with her, my brother scared us like crazy and we came out crying! So silly, it’s not even scary! (the second picture is of two of Trisha's kids and her little brother)

The food was great all the way from the prime rib down to the peanut butter and jelly pizza, Goofy makes it! (it's all he can make since he burned the mac and cheese they say LOL!) The kids loved it! After a picture at the front with Pluto we went to our seats, food was buffet style and the Characters come to your table and will pose for pictures and sign autographs and just talk a bit. Mulan talked to the kids for a very long time and I guess she is meeting the kids in China next month for a race with her them and Dash Incredible! She was very sweet! Chip was nice, Dale was funny, he signed the table with his name and put the “e” backwards. Goofy signed the table too and played around a bit, he tried to feed Trevin a spoonful of Jell-O but Trevin took it and fed himself, he then fed a bite to Ron that was funny! At times Goofy comes out of the kitchen with a plastic bin of dishes like pots and measuring cups, he spills them on the floor then invites the kids to help clean them up, but they use them to drum on the plastic bin first to some fun music, hen put them away. Other times they do the Macarena and everyone is invited to join in. At the very end as we were going out we saw Minnie, Carli went straight to her for a hug. We also saw Capt Hook, he tried to give Ali a balloon and as she grabbed for it he evilly popped it in her face, she screamed and jumped, she said she though he was being nice!

Chip and Dale were in the front when we were leaving, CarliAnn went right up to give them a hug!! They were so cute with her and the other kids; they played with them for probably like 45 min, since it wasn’t busy. Not only did CarliAnn hug them, they sat on the floor, picked her up in their laps and hug her, especially Dale! What a dream come true for an 18 month old who has always loved stuffed animals to now have them hug her back!! We figured she may not be able to tell us her dream for this trip but this had to be it. Now that she had warmed up to the characters since meeting JoJo she hugged them all and blew kisses! Chip and Dale blew kisses, shook maracas, played peek-a-boo, rolled on the floor, teased the kids etc. I tried to get the kids to come but none of them would stop playing, not even Chip and Dale so I told Jarin I couldn’t get them to come, he went in and picked up Carli told them all to tell them goodbye and walked over to put Carli in her stroller so we could walk back to our hotel (the dinner was in the Disneyland Hotel). Dale was in love with CarliAnn and followed, he played with her in the stroller then took her stroller and started walking her down the hall, luckily it was a dead end, he then went in circles and played with her more, we finally told him (or her you never know inside those suits) that they really needed to get to bed. Then Dale pulled out his Autograph pen, showed it to me as he placed the cap on it and then handed it to Carli making a sign that is was “from his heart” so sweet. Another child came out of the restaurant with the left over balloons they gave him from the night and gave all our kids one and we made the long walk back, everyone with there balloons and smiles on there faces! MaryAnn said it was a highlight of her trip!
