Day 6 - Church and visiting Family

Sunday we were all tired from Disneyland and took it easy, Jarin really wasn't feeling good. He watched the kids while I ran down to get our laundry going. Glad I got to it by 7:30 am, I wasn't the only one who decided it was a good down day to do some laundry! The rain was lightly but steadily sprinkling, more like a mist really, and no one wanted to venture across the street. As soon as my laundry was ready to switch to the dryer others came to do some of their own. Their was 3 washers and only 2 working dryers, Luckily I was able to put my two jean loads (small washers) into one dryer load and the other batch into the other dryer. I had one more batch to wash, and put that in while I went right next door to eat breakfast with the kids. I checked on the dryers a couple times and one time I went in and the batch of wet jeans, about half dry still very damp, had been removed from the dryer before the time was up. I know the time wasn't up yet because the other dryer I was using was still going!! These very nice men from Australia stole my dryer! Jarin asked me why I didn't confront them when I had the chance, several chances in fact, I told him it was because they knew what they did and they could live with and get punished by someone else not me. I decided to layout all the jeans on the beds upstairs and the sweet ladies I met from Canada and I decided to share a dryer for the next batch so we could just get done. These ladies where there as long time best friends and had each brought a grandson, the boys were getting along great. I had fun talking with them and another lady also from Canada who came with her cute family. Anyway, after all day of drying on the beds in the humid weather the jeans were just as wet as they had been so I took them back down to dry one more time! One of the Australian guys walked by the laundry room and noticed me reading a bok and "you still here, well at least it's a break from the kids right!" Yes that's why I went on a family vacation, to get away from my kids. Strange man! Really they were nice aside from the dryer thing!!

We also found a church, we attended the Anaheim 3rd ward and it was their ward conference. Afterwards we changed and Ron and MaryAnn went for a drive and even found the beach, while our family went to visit Uncle Kent and Aunt Lee. Aunt Lee gave the kids a package of Jelly Belly's but not a normal package, the messups, they were called belly flops LOL! Perfect name! They ate the whole bag, got to see the citrus trees through the window, it was too muddy to go out back, and then Uncle Kent broke out the "Green Machine" sortof like a big wheel but longer and the back wheels swivel! The kids had fun figuring it out and riding down the block! It was great to see them, Aunt Lee was still getting over a sickness, but when we saw her again Wednesday she acted like she felt alot better.

Afterwards we grabbed some dinner at Sizzler's, the grossest one I've ever been too, I got the salad bar and the beets were brown, and the boiled eggs had green yolks, among other things! I was very careful with what we ate! The we stopped at Target for some meds for Jarin and went back to the Hotel for bed!

Just as soon as we tucked the kids in bed, and right before heading to the laundry room with jeans, we heard a loud bang! Looked outside and ran to get the kids, Disneyland had finally decided to do fireworks and we had a great view from our Hotel Room! Friday and Saturday the weather wasn't good enough for the fireworks show, they actually send up a weather balloon about 9:10pm and see if the conditions are right, they wouldn't want to blow ashes over houses and cause a fire.

We all loved it! They did Hearts. smiley faces, even a boat in the sky all lit up! It was beautiful! Even Tinkerbell could be seen dancing in the treetops. I am so glad the kids got to see it even if it was from across the street!
