Little Tyson is doing amazing and so is his mother, she is finally feeling better from all the complications that led to his early birth. He was Born on Saturday and she didn't get to see him til Monday! She was very excited to see him though and lovingly looked and touched him. I can't wait for the day they are able to hold their new son! On Sunday, less than 24 hours old, he was breathing room air! Although he did go back on a little oxygen that evening, he is an amazing little fighter! And he has much more hair than originally thought!

Around our house we have been a bit sick, apparently alot of people who went to Jarin's mom's birthday party got sick. In fact it is probably a smaller # of those who didn't get sick! we don't know if it was food poisoning, but it is doubtful since some who ate everything didn't get sick. More than likely it is a little flu bug. We have been praying that Alison doesn't get sick though, so far it is just Jarin and me.
Alison is having surgery tomorrow to have her tonsils and adenoids removed, she is scared! If she got sick it would be delayed, not good for her nerves or for our pocketbook! Our insurance renews on July 1st and they have decided to up our $250 deductible to $500, so we opted to have the surgery in June while she is still in school instead of waiting for the break in July.
I took Alison yesterday to the pre-surgery class at Primary Children's, hoping it would help her fears, but afraid it would make it worse. When we got to the class they played a video of a cartoon character named scrubs going through the steps of surgery, (he was cartoon but everything else in the video was real) Alison was fine until they mentioned the IV put in his hand! She started curling up in a ball, hugging her knees then as the video ended she ran to me and buried her head crying! Poor girl! No one else was bothered though, smaller and bigger kids they were all fine. She answered all the questions of what certain things were like the otoscope, blood pressure cuff etc., she understands but is still scared. Hopefully she will be brave tomorrow and it will all be over quickly! She did like her new surgery buddy doll.
Tyler also had his own medical procedure, he had 2 teeth pulled. His mouth is so crowded, we hope to be able to allow his grown up teeth to come in straight by strategically pulling a couple teeth at a time. Hopefully that will mean no pallate expander and less time in braces. He also was scared but after getting numbed up the dentist asked if he could check if the teeth were loose, Tyler agreed, he then pulled them really quickly and asked Tyler if he should go ahead and pull them. Tyler shook his head no and the dentist said, "too bad, they are already out" I asked him if that was easy and used sign language to tell me yes. He was very proud of his long teeth, and the new bigger treasure chest to keep them in. Within a day the two front teeth spread out in room and have been coming in so much quicker than they were.
