Welcome home!

My little brother is home from his mission, it is so fun to have him home again! The kids were so excited too! He had never even met CarliAnn or Caleb! But before I get to that, since I haven't been blogging, I better recap the whole past two weeks!! Minus the kids concert I already blogged that!

I dropped my parents off at the airport on monday and they returned Sunday with him. While they were gone one of my brothers watched the dog, Rocco, and I took care of their mail and watering the tree everyday since it was newly planted. When I picked them up at 6:30 AM for the airport mom turned the water on since I wasn't sure I would make it back that day. Well, dad locked all the doors and we all forgot to turn off the water!! Luckily Jed went over after work and heard the water running, he went out back to find the yard flooded and just feet away from the window well. Almost another flood!! (last summer my inlaws house floodedwhen they were also out of town and a pipe broke, it was awful getting everything out to dry then back in the house before the rain) Thank goodness he stopped by, I was going to after going out to his house to make Karl's posters but he saved the day and saved me a trip!! On the way home that night though, CarliAnn got sick in the car and it passed through us all by the end of the week! We all felt good enough for the kids concert and Trevin's graduation Thursday, Jarin got it that night. What a crazy week.
Saturday we went up to Park City for Kimmie's Birthday!! Krista and I had fun making her Tinkerbell cake!
Sunday morning, we all got up and got going, showers and even put the cake in the oven for the homecoming party that night for Karl. We had to meet at the airport at 10:00 am to greet him, I was doing good, had my shower, hair still wet, 2 out 4 kids dressed and the cake in the oven. Then the phone rang, it was my mom telling me they had landed an hour early!!! They were already at the airport witing for a ride home!!! That ride was my brother and his wife who had flown in from TX the day before as a surprise, they were bringing the truck for Mom, Dad, and Karl. Since it was a surprise I called them (so mom wouldn't have to) and told them the news that they arrived early, Amy had the same reaction I did, "What!!!" They were still eating breakfast!! Jed's family still had half the kids in bed!
We hurried up fast an made it out there, we met Kenn and Amy so we could go to baggage claim together and great him! It was sweet. Ali and Ty held the sign for him and he hugged everyone! It was fun to capture the pictures. I love the ones with my kids, and espcially the one of him hugging Kenn, you could feel the emotion. I didn't get one of my hug, I had the camera, but mom made us hug a second time so she could get a picture, although it wasn't as good of hug as the first one was!

Jed's family saw him that night at the house, Laura was in CA with her sister about to have twins, so after Jed hugged him, he handed his cell phone to Karl so Laura could also welcome him back. While on the Cell phone their kids continued to attack him with hugs. Him seeing Zane again was also a cute moment to catch!
Throughout the week we found time to get together, Karl taught FHE Monday night, he had a great object lesson on baptism using a tea bag. The kids loved it.

Tuesday I taught our neighborhood preschool, Wed. we had the preschool picnic for the other preschool and Thursday the neighborhood picnic got rained out so we moved it to Friday and only got rained out a bit at the end of it!
We were supposed to go to the Temple while all my brothers were here but Ceaira broke her arm at school, Jed took her to the hospital while a couple brothers took Bryen to his soccer tryouts. Friday I went down and we all played games, just missed Tony and spouses, Jarin was nice enough to stay with the kids. Saturday was everyone's last soccer games, including Ceaira, Taryn, Tyler, Jared, and Mikel. 3 diff games and we went to the ones we could. And that morning Karolines twins were born!
Sunday, they all went to Gunnison to see Grandma and Jarin and I went to his families because I have two cute nepwhews who were being blessed! It was fun to hang out and eat and and talk. I am looking forward to MaryAnn's birthday soon so we can do it again. I love this picture of three sister looking down at their new baby boys!
Monday, Jarin taught FHE on guns, the kids loved it, he wanted to teach them safety if they ever saw a gun. And then I ran down to say goodbye to Kenn, Amy and Caleb, and we even snapped some pictures of the family.

A very long two weeks, now you know why I haven't written. It was fun though, can't wait to get us all together again!
